JDSU to Highlight Key Optical Communications and Communications Test and Measurement Technology at OFC/NFOEC 2009

Milpitas, Calif., March 20, 2009– JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU and TSX: JDU) today announced that it will highlight solutions from its optical communications and communications test and measurement portfolios at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference/National Fiber Optics Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC) in San Diego, California from March 22 – 26. Conference attendees are invited to visit JDSU at Booth #2015 during the event to see its latest technology offerings.

JDSUwill showcase a variety of optical communications solutions, including:

  • Photonic integrated amplifier—the industry’s only photonic integrated amplifier platform that is dynamically reconfigurable for a variety of amplifier functions.
  • AON Super Transport Blade—the first single-slot blade solution that delivers all major functions required for optical network transport.

Communications test and measurement products on display at OFC/NFOEC 2009 include:

Doug Alteen, product line manager in the Commercial and Communications Optical Products business segment at JDSU, will discuss with other industry experts how ROADMs and other optical switching technology can help network operators evolve networks while managing costs.
